Year 5 visited the Norfolk Showground to experience the science behind farming and the many career opportunities available. We health-checked a lamb, studied the effects of fertiliser, investigated where our food comes from and rode a tractor!
Keller class have become entrepreneurs this half term and created their own smoothie company. This week we have been making our first smoothie; cutting the fruit carefully and working hygienically. As you can see from our faces we enjoyed the challenge.
Eggshells are similar to tooth enamel. In addition, the eggshell protects the egg from breaking, just as tooth enamel protects the tooth from decaying.
We used eggs to investigate the possible effects of water, milk, orange juice, coke and vinegar on our tooth enamel.

Keller class enjoyed their family café today. It was based on The Green Ship by Quentin Blake and the children showed some great creativity producing their stormy scene out of pastels, explaining where the boat was taking them to and what it was like there. It was great to see so many parents getting stuck in with the activity too. Here are some of the costumes from our celebrations including one child dressed up as the main character from a book they’d actually written themselves!
