Individual Liberty

Individual liberty means that in this country people are free to live as they choose and say what they want as long as they don’t break the law.

Individual liberty at DCoEJA

Within our school, the children are encouraged to make positive choices knowing they are in a safe and supportive environment that will enable them to do this.  This can be seen when the children:

  • discuss values
  • choose challenges in their day to day work and embrace mistakes
  • take a risk in their learning
  • choose their behaviour in school – positive or negative!
  • sort out arguments with their friends effectively and fairly
  • demonstrate that they know how to stay safe online through days such as ‘Safer Internet Day’.
