League Day at The Nest

The squad of 9 boys played their first league day at The Nest today.

  • Malakii S
  • Frankie I
  • Jaylen B
  • Lewis B
  • Finley R A
  • Riley H
  • Mason H
  • Modaser A
  • Ben A

They were all super team players and sportspeople.

They won 3 and drew 2 matches in their group, so they hope to be in the Premier League for League Day 2. We were 1 point away from going to the semi final to play to represent Norwich in the EFL Utilita Cup. Good to be so close.

Our matches:

Lionwood – Drew 1-1 Lewis scored from a long throw by Ben, Mason headed it through, and Lewis slid it in.

Mile Cross – won 3 nil, scorer Riley 2, Frankie 1 a screamer from the corner flag in the top corner. Mason got a 4th but  the ref didn’t play the advantage, so gave us an indirect free kick instead – won 3 nil.

Avenues – Drew 1-1, Jaylen scored a strong shot, forcing the keeper to fumble.

The squad had a great day despite the pouring rain and getting pretty cold in between games. Well done to all.

Junior Cross Country

Well done to our Dereham Junior Cross Country runners. They did a fantastic job at the event yesterday.  Ruby and Fi came 1st and 2nd in the Year 5 girls race (out of 70 runners) and Frankie was given the ‘honesty award’. Everyone did really well and tried their best.  A big thank you to Mrs Harding and Mrs Utting for taking them to the event. They said that they were very proud of them all. All the children had a brilliant time and were fantastic, they were an absolute pleasure to take and a credit to the school!
